Commercial and Government Entities SIM Card Registration Regulation

 

In compliance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) ‘SIM-card Registration Regulation’ that will apply to all operators, VIVA will start verifying the identity of all customers. Effective July 12, 2017, all commercial and government entities must register their fingerprint with VIVA Sales representatives. 

 

Registration of Existing Commercial and Government Customers

All existing VIVA customers must register their lines by:

  • Fingerprint Scan
  • A valid passport or a valid national identity card issued by any GCC country
  • Existing Mobile & Broadband customers must register within 11 months from the date of entry into force of the new regulation, by June 1st, 2018

 

Registration of New Commercial and Government Customers and New SIM Sale

 

Every new VIVA customer must provide the following when requesting a SIM card:

 

  • Fingerprint Scan
  • A valid passport or a valid national identity card issued by any GCC country
  • Signed VIVA Application form
  • Commercial Registration copy
  • Letter of Delegation (where applicable)
